年柱、月柱、日柱、时柱各有一个天干与地支，共八字。出生时间未知时不列时柱。
如何读四柱八字
四柱把出生时刻排列为年、月、日、时四组天干地支。本指南讲解基础语法，不用单一符号给人生下定论。
日主是参照点
日柱上方的天干为日主，代表自我。五行与十神关系以此为参照，但日主本身不能代表全盘。
五行描述变化
木火土金水不是单纯物质，而是五种互动阶段。生克循环用来描述支持、输出、约束和转化。
十神整理关系
十神按五行与阴阳比较其他天干和日主。它们不是吉凶排名，也不是字面上的神。
年柱月柱依节气交替
四柱的年、月以太阳节气为界。四柱新年从约2月4日立春开始，可能不同于元旦和农历新年。
延续至今的韩国文化
