CALCULATION TRANSPARENCY

How this Saju is calculated

See the calendar boundaries, timing conventions, interpretive layers, privacy rules, and verification limits behind every result.
01

Solar terms and day boundaries

Year and month pillars follow solar-term boundaries. The default day changes at 23:00 under the early Rat-hour convention; boundary times are disclosed when they can affect a chart.

02

Use longitude-adjusted solar time

Adjusts for birthplace longitude (Seoul ≈ −32 min); equation of time is not applied.

03

Daeun · Ten-Year Luck

Direction follows the year-stem polarity and gender, moving from the month pillar. Start age converts the interval to the adjacent solar-month boundary at three days per year.

04

Calculated facts versus interpretation

Pillars, elements, and table relationships are deterministic under the stated convention. Strength, useful elements, structures, Shinsal, and narrative themes can vary by school and remain interpretive.

Privacy by architecture

Your birth data never leaves your device.

Calculation runs in the browser. URL fragments, saved profiles, and recent comparisons remain local unless you deliberately share them.
Hidden Stems
Hidden heavenly stems are shown in the Korean order of residual, middle, and main qi. Their Ten Gods are calculated from the Day Master.
Seun · Annual Luck
Each annual cycle runs from Ipchun to the next Ipchun. Select a card to inspect its hidden stems, natal interactions, and shinsal.
Major Shinsal
Shinsal are supplementary traditional markers. They should be read after the overall chart, never as a verdict by themselves.
